1. Hodgkin's Disease Hodgkin's disease, also known as Hodgkin's lymphoma, is a type of lymphatic cancer that originates in the lymphatic system, particularly in lymph nodes. The disease is characterized by the presence of Reed-Sternberg cells, which are large, abnormal cells found in the lymph nodes. Clinical Features: Lymphadenopathy : Painless enlargement of lymph nodes, especially in the neck, armpits, or groin. Systemic Symptoms : Fever, night sweats, weight loss, and fatigue, collectively called "B symptoms." Splenomegaly : Enlargement of the spleen. Pruritus : Generalized itching without a rash. Diagnosis: Lymph Node Biopsy : The definitive diagnosis is made by detecting Reed-Sternberg cells in a biopsy of affected lymph nodes. Staging : PET scans, CT scans, and bone marrow biopsy are used to stage the disease, which helps determine the extent of lymph node involvement.
